The SW renderer version is included as a separate binary in this release and features 2 different scaling types:% I! P0 P. j; @' Q
"Jitter" might look better for action games, "Blend" mostly makes text more readable. 0 e6 o) H8 }3 c. q3 ^

& b! H% ]$ h8 G! s) b9 jIf enabled, it reduces the chance of tile corruptions, but can also lead to massive slowdowns, if a game updates more tiles than the DS can handle in rapid succession.; L+ k4 A _0 x) s) h7 T. f2 a9 q' e
So "off" is basically faster. You can however switch to "on" temporarily, if the tiles got corrupted to force a one-time update (Viewpoint)." u9 f/ O8 `! n6 n0 U& c/ g
